Re-launching a Dream, Who Says Lighting Never Strikes Twice!

A Dream Realized

As the former Editor, the re-launch of Sonoran Spotlight Magazine was more than a dream of mine, it was a desire, a passion and like seeing a loved one after being separated over a period of time I truly realized how much I had missed it. In May of 2008 I felt as if I were passing on a winning football team that had proved itself on the field and I was proud to have had the opportunity to season it into the power house it was and was eager to see how far this winning team would go. My disappointed was shared by subscribers and advertisers alike who felt as though a friend was gone when the magazine fell silent under new ownership.

A Visual Retreat

Sonoran Spotlight Magazine has a passionate readership of men and women who love every tiny detail of life. The magazine was a visual vacation for us and was a retreat from the hectic daily pace. It also offered direction for businesses and insight for relationships and health during a hectic time.

Onward and Upward

A year had passed and still businesses, former clients and readers would ask about the magazine and wonder about its return. We saw this as a sign of what we needed to do. First, our challenge was prove to the prior readers and advertisers that the magazine would be like the original magazine they loved dearly. Matching the voice, tone, physical presentation and spirit of Sonoran Spotlight Magazine was imperative yet we also wanted to incorporate new sections of editorial that were in step and keeping with the times. Second, we were able to locate former freelance writers, photographers, printers and local PR and Marketing groups. And Thirdly, we needed to re-launch our website as it represented thousands of monthly readers nationwide.

The re-launch of the magazine and website has been received with the same loyalty and enthusiasm as before. We have received such great support and unmatched interest and passion that it has been overwhelming.
